UNESCO listed, and the only place on earth where the Mid-Atlantic Ridge is visible on land - you walk down a rift valley between two continental plates. It is also where the Althing, arguably the oldest parliament in the world, met from 930. ENTRY IS FREE AND PARKING IS NOT, which surprises people.
