UNESCO listed. A complete Mughal capital built in 1571 and abandoned within fifteen years, probably for want of water - so it survives almost untouched. An Archaeological Survey of India monument. Foreign, SAARC and Indian rates are all different and published separately - see finding 1. Tickets are cheaper booked online than at the gate. UNOFFICIAL GUIDES ARE PERSISTENT HERE; hire an ASI-licensed one at the gate or decline firmly.
