Elephants and gaur around a lake formed by a nineteenth-century dam, with the dead trees still standing in the water. THE BOAT TRIP IS THE STANDARD OPTION AND IS CROWDED; the guided bamboo rafting and border hikes cost more, take far fewer people and are much better. Tiger sightings are very rare.
