NO MOTOR VEHICLES AT ALL - you walk, cycle or take a pony cart, and the island is small enough to walk round in two hours. Turtles are common on the reef straight off the beach. Trawangan is the party island, Air the middle one, Meno the quiet one. THE FAST BOATS FROM BALI HAVE A POOR SAFETY RECORD in rough weather; use a reputable operator and expect cancellations.
