The zoo that changed how Japanese zoos are designed - enclosures built around what the animal does rather than what is easy to look at, with a glass tunnel under the penguins and a see-through polar bear pool. THE PENGUIN WALK, when they are let out to exercise in the snow, runs in winter only. Free for children.
