A boat glides in silence under a ceiling of thousands of glowworms - larvae fishing with lines of luminous mucus, which is less romantic and more interesting. NO PHOTOGRAPHY in the grotto, and the guides ask for silence because noise makes the larvae dim. Book ahead in summer; tours fill.
