What to know

VERIFIED FREE. One of very few mosques in the Gulf open to non-Muslims, and the single most-visited sight in Oman. Non-Muslim hours are 08:00-11:00 only, and not on Fridays. Strict modest dress: women must cover hair, arms and legs. An entry charge of OMR 8.400 was introduced in January 2025 and withdrawn within three weeks - confirm before travelling in case it returns.

Closed on Friday. Plan around it — this is the single most common wasted morning.

When to go
