The best half-day walk in Oman: a short boat across the entrance, forty minutes over boulders, then three pools and a swim through a crack in the rock to a waterfall in a cave. Entry is free; the boat is a nominal fee per person each way. You will be swimming, so bring a dry bag. Not suitable for small children.
