A 2,243m peak topped by a footprint claimed by Buddhists as the Buddha's, by Hindus as Shiva's, by Muslims and Christians as Adam's. FREE. Around 5,500 steps, climbed through the night to reach the summit for dawn and the shadow the peak casts on the cloud. Season is roughly the December to May poya; outside it the path is unlit, unstaffed and dangerous. Allow three to four hours up. Genuinely hard.

The planner warns of wet in April, May, October, November. Outside those months it says nothing, which is the point — a warning that fires every day is one nobody reads.
