UNESCO listed - the highest rail crossing of the Alps without a rack, climbing to 2,253m and spiralling down the Brusio circular viaduct at the far end. A RESERVATION IS COMPULSORY on the panoramic train and charged on top of a pass, but THE REGULAR REGIONAL TRAINS RUN THE SAME LINE with no reservation and windows that open. Ends in Italy.
