What to know

The Golden Round Trip is the thing: boat across the lake, THE STEEPEST COG RAILWAY IN THE WORLD at 48% up the mountain, then cable cars and a gondola down the other side. THE COG RAILWAY RUNS ONLY FROM ABOUT MAY TO NOVEMBER - in winter you go up and down by cable car. CHECK THE SUMMIT WEBCAM BEFORE BUYING. In cloud there is nothing to see and the ticket is not refundable for a bad view.
