A privately built contemporary temple in white and mirrored glass, begun in 1997 and still unfinished - the artist expects it to take decades more. The bridge into it crosses a sea of reaching hands representing desire, and the murals inside include superheroes and space shuttles. DUAL PRICING: the foreigner rate is posted separately from the Thai rate and is commonly five to ten times higher. See finding 1. Shoulders and knees covered for everyone, shoes off inside. Sarongs are lent or hired at the gate and visitors are turned away daily for dress. No photography inside the main hall.
