WALKING IS FREE - six routes, the easiest being the Llanberis Path at about six hours return. THE RACK RAILWAY IS SEASONAL AND EXPENSIVE and does not always run to the summit in poor weather. PARKING MUST BE BOOKED AHEAD at the popular trailheads and the car parks fill before eight in summer. The mountain is 1,085m and the weather at the top is nothing like the weather at the bottom.
