Every coronation since 1066 has happened here, and about 3,300 people are buried or commemorated inside - Newton, Darwin, Elizabeth I, and Poets' Corner. CLOSED TO VISITORS ON SUNDAYS, though you may attend a service free of charge, which is also the only way to hear the choir in the building it was written for.
