The oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, lived in for nearly a thousand years. CLOSED TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS. THE STATE APARTMENTS CLOSE WITHOUT MUCH NOTICE when the castle is in official use, and St George's Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays.
