FREE. Fifty-seven kilometres of surf beach behind a wall of towers. Burleigh Heads and Currumbin are far pleasanter than Surfers Paradise itself. UV IS THE REAL HAZARD HERE, not heat. The index passes 11 through summer and unprotected skin burns in about ten minutes. Hat, shirt and shade, not just water.
