★★★★★ Beach & outdoors
Whitehaven Beach does not publish a fixed price, so this site will not invent one. Check the official page below.
Seven kilometres of 98% pure silica sand that squeaks underfoot and does not hold heat, so you can walk it barefoot at midday. Reached only by boat or seaplane. The Hill Inlet lookout at the northern end is the famous swirling view. STINGER SEASON runs roughly November to May: box jellyfish and irukandji make unprotected swimming genuinely dangerous. Swim inside the nets, in a stinger suit, or not at all.

The planner warns of wet in January, February, March. Outside those months it says nothing, which is the point — a warning that fires every day is one nobody reads.
