UNESCO listed. Rock-cut Hindu caves from the fifth to eighth centuries on an island an hour by ferry, with a six-metre three-headed Shiva. CLOSED MONDAYS. FERRIES DO NOT RUN IN THE MONSOON, roughly June to September. There are 120 steps up from the jetty and monkeys along them.
