No admission charge for anyone. Parking or transport may still cost.
FREE to enter. India's largest mosque, finished in 1656, holding 25,000 people in the courtyard. A separate camera or video fee often applies on top of admission. Shoes must be removed. Socks are usually fine and shoe covers are sold at the gate. Robes are lent to anyone underdressed. The southern minaret can be climbed for a small fee and gives the best view over Old Delhi.

The planner warns of extreme heat in May; and hot in April, June, July; and wet in August. Outside those months it says nothing, which is the point — a warning that fires every day is one nobody reads.
