One of the most visited buildings in India. THE ILLUMINATION - about 100,000 bulbs outlining the whole palace - happens on Sunday evenings and public holidays only, for about an hour, and is the thing to time your visit around. Shoes must be removed. Socks are usually fine and shoe covers are sold at the gate. No photography inside.
