The five-storey pagoda with Fuji behind it - the photograph everyone has seen. FREE, and it is 398 steps up to the platform. Best in the fortnight of cherry blossom in mid-April and in the red maples of November. Fuji is hidden by cloud more often than not between June and August; winter mornings are the reliable time.
