One of the rarest penguins in the world and declining fast - perhaps a few thousand left. They come ashore at dusk. GUIDED VIEWING FROM HIDES ONLY: they will abandon a landing if they see a person on the beach, and an abandoned landing means a chick goes unfed. Do not go looking on your own.
