Iceland holds around 60% of the world's Atlantic puffins. THE SEASON IS SHORT AND ABSOLUTE - they arrive around late April and are gone by mid-August, back out to sea for the rest of the year. Latrabjarg, Dyrholaey and the Westman Islands are the best sites and cost nothing.
