Solheimajokull · The south coast & Jokulsarlon · Iceland
★★★★☆ Beach & outdoors
Solheimajokull glacier walk does not publish a fixed price, so this site will not invent one. Check the official page below.
The most accessible glacier tongue on the south coast. GUIDED ONLY WITH CRAMPONS - walking onto it unguided is genuinely dangerous and people have died in crevasses. The retreat markers along the approach path show how far the ice has withdrawn in a decade and are sobering.

The planner warns of wet in September, October, November. Outside those months it says nothing, which is the point — a warning that fires every day is one nobody reads.
Short days. The south coast & Jokulsarlon gives under 6 hours of daylight in January, November, December.
