FREE. Fourteen gopuram towers covered in thousands of painted figures, in a temple complex that is a working city block of worship. CLOSES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, roughly 12:30 to 16:00. NON-HINDUS MAY NOT ENTER THE INNERMOST SANCTUARIES, which is clearly signed. Shoes must be removed. Socks are usually fine and shoe covers are sold at the gate. Modest dress required - shoulders and knees covered for everyone. Leather belts and bags are refused at some temples. A separate camera or video fee often applies on top of admission.
