THE CHEAPEST TRANSPORT IN THE COUNTRY BY AN ENORMOUS MARGIN - a couple of dollars against several hundred for a speedboat transfer. Public ferries link Male, Hulhumale, Villingili and many inhabited islands. They are slow, run to a sparse timetable, and do not serve resorts at all - but for anyone island-hopping between guesthouses they change the budget completely. See finding 1.
