What to know

A volcano that rose out of the sea about 600 years ago and was watched from shore by people living here. The island is free; the ferry is not. AN HOUR'S CLIMB OVER SHARP LAVA to the summit - proper shoes, and there is NO WATER AND NO SHOP on the island. Do not miss the last ferry.
