What to know

The slowest express train in the world - eight hours from Zermatt to St Moritz over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels, in a panoramic carriage. A SEAT RESERVATION IS COMPULSORY AND IS CHARGED ON TOP EVEN WITH A SWISS TRAVEL PASS, and it is more expensive in summer. The windows do not open, which matters to photographers; the regular scheduled trains cover the same route for far less, in stages, with windows.
