The beach from The Beach, which the film itself damaged and which was then CLOSED COMPLETELY FROM 2018 TO 2022 to let the coral recover. It reopened with strict rules: BOATS MAY NOT ENTER THE BAY - they dock behind and you walk through - SWIMMING IN THE BAY IS PROHIBITED, numbers and time are capped, and IT CLOSES AGAIN EACH YEAR around August and September. Blacktip reef sharks have returned in numbers, which is the point. DUAL PRICING: the foreigner rate is posted separately from the Thai rate and is commonly five to ten times higher. See finding 1.
