FREE. 1,260 uneven steps up a limestone outcrop to a golden Buddha and a 360-degree view. IT IS GENUINELY HARD - allow an hour up in serious heat, take two litres of water, and start at dawn. Monkeys will take anything not held. Shoulders and knees covered for everyone, shoes off inside. Sarongs are lent or hired at the gate and visitors are turned away daily for dress.
