A high valley in the Northern Alps with a clear river, a wooden bridge and 3,000m peaks straight above it. FREE TO ENTER, but the valley is CLOSED FROM ABOUT MID-NOVEMBER TO MID-APRIL and PRIVATE CARS ARE BANNED ALL YEAR - you take a bus or taxi from the car parks below. Flat, easy walking, and one of the most beautiful places in Japan.
